การใช้ "in which"

เคยสับสนกันไหมครับเวลาอ่านบทความที่ค่อนข้างทางการของต่างประเทศแล้วเจอ "in which" ในประโยคนั้น. ส่วนใหญ่แล้วการใช้ in which จะแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภท

1. เป็นการนำ preposition ท้ายประโยคมาไว้หน้า which (การวางprepositionไว้ท้ายประโยค ค่อนข้างจะ informal)

Ex: This is the parking lot which many cars park in.
จะเปลี่ยนเป็น  This is the parking lot in which many cars park.

2.ส่วนใหญ่แล้วจะใช้ในกรณีที่เกีย่วข้องกับ เวลา หรือ สถานที่ (ให้ภาษาดูสวยงาม)

Ex: In my house, there is a room where antiques are exhibited. (Place)
จะเปลี่ยนเป็น  In my house, there is a room in which antiques are exhibited.
(ในบ้านของฉันจะมีห้องๆหนึ่งสำหรับการโชว์วัตถุโบราณ)

Ex: It was the time when women called for equality. (Time)
จะเปลี่ยนเป็น  It was the time in which women called for equality.
(มันคือช่วงเวลาที่ผู้หญิงเรียกร้องความเป็นธรรม)
